Program Assistant

Location: Warren, Ohio 

Type: Contract, Part-time, Temporary (March-December 2025) 

Pay Rate: $18.50-$20.00 per hour 

Reports to: Program Manager


Position Overview

The D5 Group is looking for a personable, organized, and detail-oriented Program Assistant to help with our upcoming series of business workshops to empower local emerging business owners. This role offers flexible hours and concentrated work periods during the workshop sessions, making it an excellent opportunity for those seeking meaningful part-time work.


Schedule

 Primary Hours: Saturdays during workshop sessions (9:00 AM - 1:30 PM)

Three 6-week program cohorts (April-May, July-August, October-November)

Additional flexible hours for prep and follow-up work

One year-end event in December



Key Responsibilities


Workshop Support

  • Set up and break down workshop space
  • Manage check-in process and attendance tracking
  • Prepare and distribute course materials
  • Assist with audiovisual equipment setup
  • Coordinate refreshments and venue logistics
  • Support presenters with on-site needs


Administrative Support

  • Send session reminders and follow-up communications
  • Process participant documentation
  • Collect and organize program feedback
  • Assist with basic data entry and record keeping
  • Support the creation of program reports


Event Support

  • Assist with post-program webinars
  • Support year-end networking event planning
  • Help coordinate special events and activities
  • Manage event registration processes

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; some college preferred
  • 1+ year of administrative or customer service experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently
  • Available to work required Saturday sessions


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with event coordination
  • Background in business or education
  • Familiarity with the Warren business community
  • Experience with virtual meeting platforms
  • Data entry experience

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds
  • Capable of setting up tables and chairs
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Computer work
